Riddhi Book Cafe-ঋদ্ধি বুক ক্যাফে is a multi-level café tucked into the heart of Mirpur 11, Dhaka, offering more than just coffee—it’s a layered cultural retreat where reading and light socializing blend seamlessly. On the ground floor, the café provides a comfortable, air-conditioned space with simple snacks and beverages, making it an inviting spot for anyone looking to escape the city bustle while enjoying a casual drink or bite.

The second floor is dedicated to a cozy library and reading area that draws in book lovers who appreciate a quieter environment to focus or unwind with a good book. Unlike many typical collections, this library leans toward showcasing new and emerging authors, appealing to readers interested in fresh voices rather than mainstream titles. The seating here is designed to foster calm concentration, with tables thoughtfully arranged to accommodate solo visitors or small groups immersed in discussion or study.

Upstairs, the third floor transforms into a gallery and event space, hosting occasional cultural events that bring a creative energy to the venue without disrupting the café’s generally tranquil vibe. This layering of functions—from casual café to library to gallery—makes Riddhi a versatile spot that caters to different moods throughout the day.

Visitors tend to find this space especially suitable during quieter weekday afternoons or early evenings when the ambiance settles and the café’s mellow buzz complements reading or informal meetups. While the food and drink offerings are simple, the focus remains on atmosphere and experience rather than an extensive menu. Items like brownies, rolls, and cold coffee provide modest refreshment but rarely steal the show.

Riddhi is often frequented by students, local creatives, and book enthusiasts who value a place that supports literature in a relaxed setting. The café’s interior is noted for its pleasant design, including a designated smoking area at the front, which some visitors find convenient. Staff interactions tend to be warm and welcoming, contributing to a sense of ease that encourages longer stays.

For those living in or visiting Mirpur 11, Riddhi Book Cafe offers a quiet corner to read, gather, and catch cultural events without stepping far from the neighborhood’s pulse. It’s a lightly curated cultural hub shaped by its layered use and local foot traffic rather than trends or tourist crowds.

Riddhi has evolved into a multi-story cultural venue: Ground floor: café with AC, casual snacks and beverages. Second floor: library and reading area. Third floor: gallery and event space. Riddhi Book Café in Mirpur-11 is a cozy and artistic spot that blends a quiet reading environment with a light café menu. It offers a rich collection of books, a peaceful ambiance, and occasional cultural events. Perfect for book lovers and students seeking a calm retreat in the city.

A nice and cozy place for bookworms. I saw in some reviews that there were no ac in the cafe, but right now they have ac. The library is a nice small place where everyone sits and reads books. The book collection is good so far. They focus on new authors rather than focusing on the established ones. Overall, the place is very satisfactory. The cafe is situated in the heart of Mirpur-11. So it is very easy to reach from anywhere in the city as it is right beside the Metro station.

Their interior is beautiful, they have a seating place on the 1st floor in front and inside with a smoking area inside. There is a library on the 2nd floor, there are many books and tables and chairs for reading. Although their food is not that popular, we tried their brownies, hot chicken, rolls, singaras, cold coffee, chocolate milkshakes. The food was average, but their interior is so beautiful. It'll be nice to pass the time.

Lately, this book café has become my go-to spot for budget-friendly bites and a relaxed vibe. The cafe is in the ground floor and there is a library in the second floor. They have a variety of foods available there. The Shingara was BDT 20, the filling was only potatoes. The outer crust was crispy and surprisingly tasty. The sauce they provided went well with it - Just the right size to curb your light cravings. The coffee was BDT 90. It had a generous amount of milk and was not too bitter. We also had naan and chicken chaap. Chaap was BDT 160, though it's on the pricier side, it was beautifully cooked with moderate oil and fried onion crisps. It was light, tasted fresh, cooked just right without excess or reused oil, and most importantly, no tummy troubles later—thumbs up to the chicken chaap. The naan was 30 each and also those were perfectly made. Soft, buttery and leaned towards the sweeter side. You could eat the naan by itself - it's that good. Also they served two types of sauces, match-stick cucumber. Really loved the Manager's sincerity. The place was a bit crowded on a Thursday evening though there are separate seating sections. Recommended N.B. - their book cafe now requires a subscription to read the books onsite. 6 month subscription of BDT 600 & a yearly subscription of BDT 1000 is available. The book cafe was my favorite, but now it's out of my budget.
